After decades spent working in custom metal stamping, precise metal fabrication, and engineering/tooling, we’ve fine-tuned our processes and built a reputation for excellence. THE STORY OF GENESEE
COMPANY HISTORY & KEY MILESTONES
Genesee, led by Dan Fergus, acquires what is now Genesee A&B, a tool and die shop with minimal production at the time.
The Company built a 40,500 square foot manufacturing facility in metropolitan Nashville area to expand its manufacturing footprint due to the Company’s rapid growth.
GSF and GAB were merged into one company. The Company secured business with several key customers, including Calsonic Kansei.
Genesee, including business units GSF and GAB, sold to a group of investors led by J2 Partners GAB revenue ~ $4M.
GAB awarded $15M project; commenced facility expansion of its plant and equipment base, doubling the footprint from 42,000 sq. ft. to 84,000 sq ft.
Genesee purchases 660T transfer press to support newly awarded projects.
Recruited new CEO Todd Gerlach and several key members of management team. Revenue: $17.1M EBITDA: $2.3M.
Following the tornado, which destroyed the GAB Mt. Juliet facility, we streamlined our engineering and manufacturing focus. We also relocated to a 50,000 square foot plant and 12,500 square foot utility and storage building with 6 additional acres for growth in Portland, TN.
Genesee commissions 400T Version press to support new automotive customer launch.
Genesee develops two new patented products to support customer innovation.
Genesee awarded over $6M in new customer projects. Purchases 550T press to support growth.
